BE SURE TO ALLOW YOUR STATE OR LOCAL GUILD TO APPLY FOR ONE OF THESE PRESTIGIOUS AWARDS. BE SURE TO LABEL YOUR ENTRY FOR THE AWARD YOU ARE SEEKING. TURN IN YOUR APPLICATION FOR THE AWARD WITH YOUR INTERNATIONAL BLANKS AT THE INTERNATIONAL HOLY CONVOCATION DURING THE CONVOCATION. THE AWARDS WILL BE PRESENTED AT THE GOLDEN PINES RECEPTION.

ETHEL LEE STEADMAN AWARD is presented to the person with longevity and dedicated service to the COOLJC on the local, state, and international levels. Be sure to present a detailed account of this person’s service at the three levels of service. It should be neatly typewritten, presented in a folder or other appropriate format with a picture of the nominee. It honors the 4th President of the International Guild.

ETHEL MAE BONNER AWARD is presented to the state/diocese which presents a program which addresses the most psychological needs of ministers and deacons’ wives. Be specific with the programs that you are detailing for this entry. Pictures and programs always make your entry very special. Be sure to indicate what psychological need is being met by the programs you detail and present. The report should be typewritten and placed in a scrapbook, folder or other appropriate format. Do not allow the pictures to be a substitute for the report, they should augment it. It honors the 3rd President of the Guild.

DOROTHY GEE RICHARDSON AWARD is presented to the person who exemplifies the most characteristics of faithfulness to education on the local, state, or inter national level, giving outstanding service and training. Report on the service of your nominee at each level in detail. Present a picture of the nominee. Typewrite your entry and place in an appropriate folder, portfolio, or other format. It honors the wife of Bishop Thomas J.Richardson who served the organization as treasurer for many years.

CARRIE LAWSON AWARD is presented to the state\diocese with the largest number of registered ministers’ and deacons’ wives. The officers and the registration committee will determine the recipient of this award from their official report. It honors the wife of our 1st Presider, Bishop Robert C. Lawson.

HELEN SPENCER AWARD is presented to the state/diocese with the largest number of delegates attending the Golden Pines reception. We will ask persons attending the Golden Pines reception to help us here. Let you people be aware that unless you help us we cannot make an accurate report of the state/diocese with the largest number of delegates. There will be forms distributed at each table during the reception to befilled out indicating your state or diocese. It does not matter if the attendees are Guild members or not. As a President, be sure to see that all persons from your state/diocese registers. It honors the wife of our 2nd Presider, Bishop Herbert Spencer.

MIRIAM R. NORWOOD BOOK SCHOLARSHIP FUND AWARD is presented to the Diocese contributing the most to the Apostolic Review Scholarship Fund. It honors our 6th International President.

MARGARET WOODS JACKSON APOSTOLIC REVIEW SCHOLARSHIP FUND is presented to the brother of a Guild member who contributes the most to the program of the Guild. It honors our 6th International President.

WALTER LEE JACKSON AWARD is presented to the brother who is the wife of a Guild member who contributes the most to the program of the Guild. It honors the husband of our 6th International President.

REGISTRATION PACKET DESIGN CONTEST – This award is presented to the Guild member who presents the most effective and creative design depicting the theme and program for the current year to be used on the “Registration packet” and other designs needed by the Guild for that year. THIS AWARD IS IN THE PROCESS OF BEING ADJUSTED SINCE THE INTERNATIONAL CABINET HAS STARTED THE CENTRAL REGISTRATION FOR ALL AUXILIARIES. DO NOT APPLY UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE.

If you have these ready in time, they can be sent when you send your Diocese blanks or when you submit them at the Convocation. If they are not ready then, we will accept them by Saturday, at the official session of the Guild.
