Bishop William Wilkins, Jr. is a devoted servant-leader who has faithfully served the Church of Our Lord Jesus Christ (COOLJC) from his youth. Born and raised in the Bronx Diocese under the leadership of the late Bishop William G. Fields, he received salvation and the baptism of the Holy Ghost at just ten years old at Greater Refuge Temple, under the pastoral care of the late Apostle William Lee Bonner. By the age of thirteen, Bishop Wilkins became a member of the church, and at nineteen, he accepted the call to the preaching ministry.

His heart for service and loyalty to leadership were evident early on, as he dedicated himself to serving Apostle Bonner, his spiritual father, until the Apostle’s transition in 2015. Bishop Wilkins has also served in various leadership capacities at both the local and international levels of COOLJC.

A lifelong learner and advocate for excellence in ministry and community service, Bishop Wilkins earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology, graduating *cum laude*. He holds a dual Master’s degree in Organizational Management and Organizational Development. He furthered his biblical and theological education at the Church of Christ Bible Institute and W.L. Bonner College.

Professionally, Bishop Wilkins worked for over 25 years in the non-profit sector, managing critical social programs aimed at empowering low-income families across New York City.

Alongside his ministry and professional pursuits, Bishop Wilkins is blessed with a strong family foundation. He is happily married to his wife and best friend, Lady Sarai Wilkins of Indianapolis, Indiana. Together, they are the proud parents of three beloved children: Mya, Blake, and Madison.

He currently serves as Chairman of the International Board of Bishops, Chairman of the International Convention Committee, and Assistant Pastor of the Greater Refuge Temple in New York City.

With a passion for developing leaders and empowering the laity, Bishop Wilkins is committed to advancing the Kingdom of God with integrity, excellence, and unwavering faith. His life and ministry are anchored in the principle:

“Excellence is expected; no excuses are accepted.”
